Graduation Framing

We have been pretty busy here at Kings River Fine Arts lately. It is that time of year when graduates are looking to find a way to display their diplomas. Our two window, two mat framed piece with an image of Old Main and the graduates diploma really is a beautiful way to frame your sheep skin. It is archival in that we use acid-free mat board and acid-free foam core in our framing process as well as in producing our prints on a 12 color archival printer by Canon. We print on acid-free Epson Water Color paper. WE appreciate being able to offer what we feel is a great looking quality piece to display your diploma in.

Thank you for your continued support of our work. Have a good week and we will see you on the Fayetteville Arkansas downtown square on Saturday for the Farmers' Market or back here next week to say howdy.

Until then.

Quigley's Castle Paint Out

This week the Eureka Springs Plein Air group gathered at Quigley's Castle for their weekly paint out. Quigley's has an interesting history as do many of the places in and around Eureka Springs. Built around 1943after Elsie Fiovanti Quigley with the aide of her children tore down the structure they were living in one day while her husband was at work. The "Castle" is a two story structure with four feet of earth left bare between the edges of the living space and the walls. In this soil Mrs. Quigley planted flowering tropical plants that are now up to the second story ceiling.

The outside of the house is covered with stones, fossills, crystals, arrowheads and stones collected from the nearby creek beds. This unusual home is listed on the National Registry of Historic places and is a must see in our area.

Saturday we will be back at the Fayetteville Farmers' Market on the square in Fayetteville Arkansas. If you are in the area and are looking for a local experience, drop on by and take in the variety and beauty of our local market.

Plein Air Painters of Eureka Springs

Here at Kings River Fine Arts things are starting to settle back to normal. Paul had a great time participating in the Plein Air Paint Out sponsored by the the Eureka Springs School of the Arts and is looking forward to the 2017 Festival.

Since the Plein Air Fest Paul has been enjoying his return to the Eureka Springs Plein Air group's Wednesday morning Paint Outs. Last week they had the pleasure of gathering at Rebecca's Iris Garden out on the White River. It is always a pleasure for the group to be at Rebecca's as there are so many potential paintings in her garden just waiting to be archived on canvas.

Paul was also able to take time out to go to Fayetteville and sign the 10' x 17' mural he created for Vold Vision. It was installed and needed his signature.

We have returned to our Saturday mornings at the Fayetteville Arkansas Farmers' Market on the square in downtown Fayetteville. The market is open from 7 am to 2 pm each Saturday, if you are in the area stop by, say hello and experience our fabulous market and all it has to offer.
